Our House System aims to facilitate more mixing between the different year groups, increase community spirit, peer mentoring, boost the existing rewards system, encourage more students to get involved in competitions, and develop leadership opportunities for students in KS3 and KS4.

Beacon’s motto is “Teamwork makes the dream work” and this underlines that community spirit and working together are our at the foundation of our House. Through your life you’ll be working with others. By helping and encouraging others, you’ll gain a sense of achievement and are far more likely to succeed in all you do.

As part of Beacon House, you are part of a community within Warden Park that spans all year groups. You will have the chance to take part in and come up with competitions, be they academic, creative and sporting.

In addition to competitions, an important part of what we do is raise money for a chosen charity each year – by working together and being the best version of yourself, you can help others less fortunate in many ways.
Finally, every House point counts – your conduct here is really important not just for yourself but for your House – every positive (and negative) point contributes to House Points totals which go towards the end of year achievement awards – so do your best and be nice!

Come and find me in H3 or speak to your tutor if you have any ideas or suggestions about how we can make the House system even better!
