Year 11 are coming into their exam season and for most, unlike in previous years, they are used to gaining access at a high level to revision guides and help from their teachers on their IPad.

Most classes are using Google Classroom effectively for both sharing materials and receiving homework. It is a quick, easy way to see the engagement of students in our lessons, as well as efficient systems for marking and sharing feedback.

The best form of tracking a students’ revision I have found is to set an assignment on Google Classroom, with the purpose of completing a Slides Presentation about a particular area of study. A copy of a template Slides can be sent to each student and we are able to track their usage of that presentation by logging in each week to track progress. It can also be linked to parents and they can track their child’s progress too. This is particularly useful for students who struggle to keep their books or pieces of paper safe between home and school.
