With a view on raising achievement and progress in my own geography lessons I have been looking
for strategies to improve students’ results in test and formal examinations. We provide substantive
lists of what needs to be revised and will run a revision session prior to the exam but I wanted to
know how I could make this revision session more tailored to student needs through the use of
digital technology.
Using the Showbie app I have asked students to identify topics and work they would like to cover in
the revision session. This will allow students to reflect on their learning prior to the revision session
and give them more control about what is covered. The approach to learning would be more
difficult to achieve without the use of digital technology and will give all students an equal voice in
the decision making process. I will report on student feedback from the two classes after the test
